We are looking for an Entry-Level Locksmith in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to join Budget Locksmith of New Mexico as a 1099 independent contractor, with earning potential of $70,000+ per year. This role is a great fit for someone with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, comfort with basic hand tools, and strong customer communication skills.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Pay is per job. We provide free training to technicians who contract with us. Training is free but unpaid.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply mechanical aptitude to residential, commercial and automotive locksmith work.
- Use basic hand tools carefully and safely.
- Pay close attention to detail on every lock installation, repair and rekey.
- Communicate with customers in a clear, friendly and professional manner.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license.
- A reliable vehicle.
- The tools needed for the trade, or the means to purchase them.
- Open availability, including weekends.
- Pass a background check.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic hand-tool use.
- Customer communication skills.
